Between 1979 and 1984, a number of Italian films were shot in Georgia, including the two Bud Spencer films The Sheriff and the Satellite Kid and Why did you pick on me?, as well as films such as "Great White", "Blastfighter" and "Tales of ordinary madness". American filmmaker Mike Malloy has now made a documentary about this phenomenon. The film, entitled "Local Recruits", also features various local supporting actors, such as Joseph Dean Treadway and Clayton Landey. The trailer for the documentary has now been released. The finished film will be included as bonus material on a Blu-ray release of one of the aforementioned films in the coming weeks. We’ll keep you updated.
